Appearing in the December 1817 Repository of Arts, Literature, Fashions &c, this domestic chapel was meant to be for the convenience of a country estate. Below I have also included an excerpt from The Gentleman’s House: Or, How to Plan English Residences (1858) on the domestic chapel.
